A nice welcome package from Sun arrived today

FedEx rang on my door today, delivering a large cardboard box. The Sender? Sun Microsystems, my new employer!

Upon opening it, I discovered the following:

The box contained a black messenger bag with the Sun Logotype and a smaller cardboard box:

Inside the Bag there was a nice greeting card, a water bottle and a blue T-Shirt with the Sun Logo:

A nice gesture - I really liked the card: "Sun has a unique culture and flexible work environment where you can learn, grow your career, work on cool projects, and balance your personal and professional life." The small paper sheet inserted in the card is interesting, too (the Sun logo is embossed in it) "This paper is handmade with 100% biodegradable and recycled fibers. When you wet it and plant it in soil, it will grow lavender flowers."

The smaller cardboard box contained a quite heavy and thick vodka glass with the Sun/MySQL logo printed on it - a nice reference to our celebration after the initial announcement :-)

Thank you Sun for the nice surprise and the warm welcome! I am really looking forward to working there.
