Man, trackballs, those were the days!
Gotta dig my old Logitech trackball out of the tech-gadget box again too and see if I really miss it =)
I am still using my Marble FX...I continue to rebuild my computer, and so far, in 2012, I can still find a good motherboard with PS/2 ports. I run Windows 7 x64, and it works great.
I agree completely. If I ever in the future upgrade my MB to one w/o a ps2 port, i have a ps2 USB converter. <img src="/templates/default/img/emoticons/tongue.png" alt=":-P" style="display: inline; vertical-align: bottom;" class="emoticon" />
I’ve started a Facebook community page called “Bring back the Logitech Trackman FX Marble”, so hopefully we can start a nice groundswell to get Logitech to put it back into production! Here’s the link:

Hi Geoff,
thanks for your reply! Great initiative, I'll take a look at that page. I'm still using the FX on my second desktop PC. For my primary workstation, I've switched to a Logitech Cordless Optical Trackman in the meanwhile. It's actually a good alternative, even though the ball is much smaller than the one in the FX. And having to replace batteries every once in a while is annoying. What's wrong with having a cable on a device that's not being moved around anyway?
